Tesla Model 3 Hub Size Differences

If you have a Performance Model you will need to be careful when selecting wheels. The Performance Model comes with a slightly different hub center that is stepped.

The hub is only stepped on the full Performance trim, with the upgraded brakes.

Solutions to make a wheel fit:

  1. Have the wheel custom machined to fit the extra hub lip
  2. Use a wheel spacer that is the size of the 64.1mm hub that increases it to a larger sized wheel hub (like a 71.6mm hub)
  3. Upgrade your Model 3 brake rotors. Often, an aftermarket brake rotor will be thicker and allow your wheel to center directly on the 64.1mm hub (pictured here)
